Following more than two decades in executive roles at Wilson Golf and Perry Ellis International’s golf division, Tim Clarke joined Tour Edge as the company’s newest president last August. Within the role, Clarke oversees worldwide golf sales, strategic planning and operational performance.
“Tour Edge has always been a sleeper brand,” Clarke said in an interview with CDGATV this February. “My thoughts were, when David (Glod) reached out, ‘this could be a perfect marriage.’ David does amazing, world class product design and development and, quite honestly, my ability to build a brand … Everytime I’m in the office I like to talk about, ‘we’re in acceleration mode,’ … So, so far, so good.”
Clarke’s expertise has proven beneficial already, as his background in the space has brought in a number of new systems and organizational methods to Tour Edge to keep the company’s trajectory pointed in the right direction. Starting the company from the ground up, Glod’s experience as an entrepreneur and designer is shining brighter than ever as he shifts to his new role as chief executive officer.
